Any point to other fps games than bf3?

Online that is...I want to try and play

tf2

sepcifically. but due to bf3 and the unlocks and levelling up and believe it or not my enjoyment of the game I think well if im gonna play a fps online I may as well play bf3. I even have bfbc2 still installed also.


I have never played tf2 and heard its great fun and l4d2 is something different but why bother I can play bf3.

Should I even try tf2?

And come next week with b2k then lol really I cant see myself playing any other fps online

I would like to play soem r6 vegas and cod4 also but once again I just dont..maybe some counter strike etc...but I feel time wasted when i could be levelling up and playing bf3

Anyone else like this?
 
TF2 is a great game(and its free so why not), i find it quite relaxing to play compared to MW3/BF3. L4D2 is a fun game to play with friends, it goes on sale quite often so you can pick it up cheap and if you dont like it then you havent wasted much money on it.

If i strictly stick to one game i tend to get bored really fast so its nice to have a few to play

i have both installed. It does make a nice refershing change. L4d2 is simple eough but tf2 seemed pretty complex and a lot going on for a newbie so I gave up. Maybe I should try again.

Probelm with new cods, bf3 etc..is that play time= more unlocks etc...therefore the more you play the more stuff you get which makes it more addictive or desierbale to play.

Wheres bf1942 etc...id just play whenever only stats recorded are per match.

I quite miss that in some respects
 
TF2 isnt complex atall, simply you have a range of classes, weapons are dropped randomly i think its like every hour you have a chance and up to 10 hours a week, the longer you play it for the more guns/hats everything you end up with, pretty much find a server pick a class and kill people and eventualy get new items to use
 
For TF2 i started playing as a medic to get used to levels, find a tank and just follow him round healing for a few games ot get used to the map, then pick something else and go for some kills :)
 
just play cod 4 bf3 is a fps game trying to hard will never be a classic.

loads of people online and it will outlast bf3 guarenteed

cod4 was my favourite online shooter, aint played mw3 yet though. Is there many hackers and stuff on cod4?

BF vietnam was prob also my joint fav shooter.

bf3 I dunno? I think will be fun after b2k next week?

tf2 i have installed maybe ill try it looks silly cartoony but could be fun.


COD4 i hav no save game so need to start lvl 0 :(

I know how you feel. I have installed/uninstalled this game endless times just for the multiplay and had to complete it back to the top level and challenges. I find if I haven't play this in a while I'm a little rusty for a couple of days.

how about mw3.

I much rather mw1 over mw2 or black ops but aint tried mw3 yet.

In fact i think mw1 is the best online shooter.

However, BF has vehciles which I enjoy.
 
i know what you mean about the wasting time not leveling up part, but , try getting into competitive css , its great and more satisfying than leveling up in my opinion, Best fps game to date in my opinion but thats just me :)

I was hardcore CS:source player when it first came out.

I do like it but I Was never that great. Plus once you die its over....bf/cod etc...dieing aint so bad.

I been playing r6veags also again whihc is different fun
 
I played TF2 again yesterday first time in a couple of years and had a blast.
The games a bit FUBAR now but its still ok.

MW3 can FCUK itself, Unless im hosting and go 40-1 its not worth playing, might as well cripple yourself.
Might play Blops again, looking back that was actually quite decent and fun.
 
quake live is still my favourite. There seems to be no love for deathmatch these days. Is it a generational thing or just marketing or a skill thing ?

why mw3 sucks? I might buy for ps3 just to play my freinds.

I have black ops for ps3 also. I quite like it despite others not
