Any point upgrading from 1155?

Had my computer about a year now and it runs fine. Hadn't needed to overclock as it has suited my needs.

Now, the mobo I bought isn't SLI compatible (didn't check when buying doh).

So.... do I just get an SLI ready board to replace my current one (I want to remain with NVIDIA), or do I wait to build a brand spanking new one.

I'm really not the sort that has to have everything completely up to date and the computer I have is adequate for what I need. Will I just be taking a backwards step continuing to update my machine around the LGA1155 socket?

Cheers.

If you're happy with what you already have, there's no pressing need to upgrade. There were some good deals in the B-Grade section the other day so if you can find something there that you like I'd suggest that.

If you're going for a full-price board I'd probably swing more towards upgrading, but it all depends on your budget really. You've still got a lot of untapped performance with overclocking.

yeah check the b-grade motherboards as some of the prices in there were stonking. See if you can find a SLI board.

Yeah that what I think I will do. I've had a quick look and there looks to be quite a few bargains to be had.
