Just wondering.

I need a new switch, and see that the prices vary a lot. A tp-link is £44, Linksys is £61 and Netgear £69. They all seem to have the same spec. To me, the tp-link seems the obvious choice?

They are much of muchnesses, but check the technical specs to make sure you get 1 Gbps non-blocking throughput on each port. Cheaper switches may share 1 Gbps between 8 ports as an example.

Two mention 32Gbps non-blocking, dynamically shared. Remarkable coincidence, which makes me think they are all probably the same under the hood. The tp-link does not mention it, which makes me suspicious.

Nope, actually, the tp-link is the same. Took a bit more to find it, but it's 32Gbps too. It doesn't mention non-blocking, though, whatever that is.

32 is just 2x16.

You have 16 x 1gb ports that can do up and down at the same time at 1gb.
