Any problems with this build (apart from cost)?

Hi guys, got around 2k to spend and got something like this in mind. I have a 24" monitor, but nothing else.

I'm not sure which extra cables etc I need with the case, put the psu extender in just to help with cable management, but not sure if it's necessary.

Apart from that any issues?
Cheers.

Just a couple of things ive noticed:

1. Do you really need win 7 professional? Also i think most people recommend the retail version of win 7 as you can reinstall it on the same pc if you format whilst you will struggle with the oem (or so i think i've read)
2. No need for the retail version of the CPU as you are getting a cooler so you can save £10 unless you are after the extended warranty
3. Why PowerDVD?
4. Why the antec 1200? You could get away with a smaller better looking case as you are not really putting much in there. One of the fractal design cases might be a better choice but it is down to personal taste.

Whatever you pick it will be a nice pc, enjoy :D

1. No probably not, I think I just instinctively went for it as I have win xp and vista pro rather than home. I looked up the differences and decided I'll probs go home premium retail instead.

2. The price difference was only a tenner for an extended warranty, also when I was deciding Assassins Creed 2 came free, although it doesnt seem to anymore... doh.

3. I have power DVD on my old PC and really like it- just a preference.

4. Erm well I'm prepared to go for an 800D cos it looks awesome, but heard it isn't great for air cooling. I want the space for x-fire in future, and just to give my hands more room to build in as Im a bit of a klutz.

Yeah I think Case is the thing I've had the most trouble deciding about. I think the Noctua cools better than the H50 according to the reviews I've read. Is there any need for the thermal paste or will the one that comes with it be as good?

Change the PSU to the Antec 850W PSU specific for the 1200.
Are the Antec PSUs any good?

Change the HDD's to 2 WD Black Caviar Sata 6gb/s 1tb.
The F3s are cheaper and almost as good.

Change Windows 7 to retail home premium.
Already done.

Change the Motherboard to the UD3R.
I went with the UD5 for the extra OC power- will the 3R be fine?

Change the Graphics card to the Asus 5870 (Can actually be overclocked)
Wasn't gonna OC the gcard, but will think about it.

Change the Processor to the 920
930 OCs better, but Im tempted by the £30 saving.

Change the RAM to Patriot Viper Low latency
wont fit with the Noctua

Change the ketboard to something a bit nicer :)
I have a logitech keyboard already on this PC and like it- gaming keyboards always feel a bit crappy to me.

Change the DVD-RW to a Sony 24x
Ok.

Yeah I really like your basket mattjd. Trying to decide on a 5970 or 2x5850s and the 2 WD drives over the f3s.

Ok cool, guess they would make use of the 6gb sata. The only thing im really concerned about with them is game loading times, so was thinking 2 raid 0'd F3s might be good for the price.

Im umming and erring over the graphics card, but thanks for everyones help.

Alright guys lets keep it civil, everyone has a different view, which is why I like these build check threads- see the different possibilities and decide on my priorities. I think I will go for a slightly beefed up graphics configuration and save on a few other bits.
