Running 2 kits of 2x32 (i.e. 4x32) is very likely to cause issues and will need manual configuration (i.e. XMP will fail). I assume you're aware of this?

You know of the 13th-14th gen issues and are happy just to take the extended warranty?

If It was my money, I'd either go Core Ultra (15th gen), or AM5. I can understand upgrading to a higher-end CPU if you already own a 1700 board, but I would not buy into the platform at this point.

It is doable, but if you do anything other than gaming you will almost certainly have to heavily power limit the CPU and play with the fan curves. Good tower coolers are fine up to 150 watts or so, but after that managing them can get tricky in terms of noise and heat output.

Likewise, I'd suggest AMD 9000 series or Intel 15th gen. You seen to have a pretty good budget, so you might want to look at the 9950x3d when it lands.

If your need 64gb, get a matched kit. It's too much of a gamble running mixed kits.
