Any PSU's other than Bitfenix Fury come with braided cables?

As the title says, I'm looking for a new PSU. Coming from a Silverstone Strider which seems to have developed a fault.

I have the Silverstone short cable set so I thought about buying another Silverstone PSU but after checking the reviews of the other models it seems I'm not alone with the fault I have with mine.

A new PSU with braided cables would be ideal, are there any options other than the Bitfenix range?

Looking for something that'll comfortably handle my overclocked 3770k and GTX 980 with the possibility of adding another 980 further down the line.

Cheers guys

I think the Bitfenix Fury's are the only psu's that have individually braided cables. The problem with those is that a big chunk of the price is for the cables. The psu itself is nothing special, just another mediocre FSP built unit. You can buy cable kits for the Corsair psu's and also the Cablemod kits but they cost almost as much again as the price of the psu in some cases. £65 and £70 for a cable kit on top of the price of the psu is ridiculous. You could buy the add-on extensions for the cables that can be seen but then you have longer cables to hide.

Thanks for the reply pastymuncher. I've been having a look but it does seem the Bitfenix Fury range are the only PSU's to come with braided cables. I'd rather not settle for a mediocre unit for the sake of having nice cables so will need to have a think. If I had any confidence in Silverstone as a PSU manufacturer I would buy another Strider PSU but after having one die on me already and reading the user reviews of others, I feel buying another would be a mistake. I have a Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 1000w I'm using in the mean time. I would stick with this if it didn't have a huge pile of cables to hide - especially with the Bitfenix Alchemy extensions plugged in. Completely agree that it's crazy to have to spend £65-70 on top of the price of the PSU just to have nice cables. Would have thought by now manufacturers would include these as standard.

The problem with including them as standard is that the price of the psu's go through the roof. When the Bitfenix Fury's launched they were much more expensive than they are now and the reason given was the cables. You can see the original thread with the launch prices here. I guess they were not selling particularly well so the prices dropped. Personally I think they are still too high. At the end of the day you are buying a psu and you want the best quality for the money. When the cables take up a large portion of the cost you are left with a mediocre psu with review scores of 7.5 and 8.3 and that just doesn't cut it these days with so many high quality units such as the Superflowers and EVGA G2's being priced so reasonably and getting review scores in the 9+ range.

As someone who builds wiring looms for F1 I would say the time difference in making those two types of cable would be massive. The standard bundle sleeved one would take no time to populate but the ones individually braided would involve sleeving and heat shrinking every wire separately, its the kind of thing I have to do and means the difference between 5 mins and an hour for a part.

I did consider offering to make these myself to people on the forum (with much better wire!) when I saw the price of the Cablemod offerings but would need to find a supplier for all the headers.
