Any psu's reccomended.

Hi all, just sank £300 into a BFG Geforce 8800 gtx oc graphics card, im quite happy with it so far although im told it may be underperforming due to my Tagan 480w psu.
Would I notice a difference with a more powerful psu or im I ok with this? Just want to clarify this as I dont really want to spend anymore money on the pc.

*Current setup*
Athlon x2 4400 (oc'd from 2200 to 2420mhz)
4 512mb sticks of corsair ddr ram
2 sata drives (1 7200rpm +1 10000rpm)
1 BFG Geforce 8800gtx 768mb oc
1 Fatality xfi sound card
2 usb devices
motherboard is asus a8n sli deluxe.

Any suggestions much appreciated as spending £300 on the gpu was hard enough to explain to the missus...another £100 for a psu will kill her

I'd push that CPU more, 2.6ghz should be fine, running at 2.7

Is it warning you that it's not getting enough power or are you just guessing?

The Corsair HX 520 would be a good upgrade.

You wont be getting full performance from the GTX as it is anyway due to bottlenecking from the cpu. As long as you have both of the PCi 6 pin power connectors connected and not experiencing any warning messages saying that your cards isn't getting sufficient power you should be ok.

To be on the safe side post some graphic benchmarks so people can compare your score with theirs.
