i need one so i can use xbox live etc, but what one should i buy? does xbox live etc really need a 120gb drive or is that for peeps that wanna download and store films on their hard drive?

(it's gb not mb :p) Yeah it's pretty much for people who want to download films and music. You'll soon be able to download hd films straight from xbox live.

Also you can now download almost all the old xbox games from xbox live, but at 5gb each you can only have 4 before you fill the 20gb up. So I suppose they're useful aswell if you like to be nostalgic :p

More like two games with the amount of usable space :( , anyone know how much space is unusable on the 120 gig drive?

Indeed, the 20gb is in reality a 13gb HDD. Soon runs out.

I want a 120gb HDD but there's just no way I'm paying those silly prices.

I don't have a 120gb HDD ... but I would assume the reserved space would still be 7gb (for the xbox emulation and cache space etc) leaving about 113gb usable - anyone able to confirm?

After the latest update on the marketplace, I'd say the 20gb drive is way too small lol.

Been looking through some of the new stuff, And I'd beable to have 1 downloaded xbox game on my hard drive, 2 at a push. Shame really

Why would you want to spend £10 to download an old Xbox game that then requires another £30 or so's worth of HDD to store it on?

You can buy them all for £5 now 2nd hand!

People just looking for an excuse to go and buy bigger and "better"? MS really are taking the **** with that one LOL

It depends if you buy an elite or buy the HD seperately.

When I bought my elite it had pre installed a few large game demos (TDU, Viva pinata and something else), A VERY large intro video and also loads of arcade games.

The useable space once these are deleted is roughly 113gb.
