thanks for the input :)

im not sure about the graphics card, i know the MSI and HIS ones are reccomended, but would i notice much difference between them and the cheaper ones? i will probably overclock with CCC overdrive but im not planning on pushing anything to the limit.

ive heard a lot of good things about the samsung SSD and i know a lot of friends who have had problems with OCZ SSD's so thats why im edging more towards the samsung. This will be my first SSD so i have no personal experience on them.

As for the cooler im not sure what to go for, id like to overclock a bit, maybe to 4.0 or something? and ive always liked the idea of those small watercoolers, but if theres an air cooler that cools just as well for cheaper/similar price i would consider it, but im not very well informed on them :)

yeh really you should maybe just buy what your gut tells you on gpu sometimes as its a lottery which will clock good anyway. the main thing people can advise on is how quiet it is and their warranty service, the card you picked might be awesome clocker who knows^^

ssd it was the old sandforce drives that were faulty a lot, the new ones dont use that controller, not heard any nightmares the new ones but i dont spend time on oczs forums so

loads of air coolers that are cheaper and get you to 4.0

yeah i guess, its quite a hard decision :p

ah right i see, ill look into sandforce SSD's and have a look round the cooling sub forum and see what seems popular :)

thanks

haha okay :)

The Vertex 4 does look quite impressive on there i must say...
Choosing hardware is too hard :P

After having a look through the cooling section i'm steering away from the small watercooler and will probably go for an air cooler instead now

thats quite cheap :o at that price i would have to question the quality/performance though..

im tempted by a few.. mainly these three but im still browsing :)

ideally im looking for the best cooler for between £30 and £50, cheaper being better of course :P a little noise doesnt bother be either, so i dont think it will be an issue with the majority of coolers.

I would go the Vertex 4 just for the 5 years warranty, whereas the Samsung 830 only has a 3 year warranty. I think OCZ doesn't have any reliability issues with there new drives, but people still don't like them because of there past problems with the older drives.

ah right i see, i think ive finally made my decision after a bit more searching, ive decided on the Thermalright HR-02 Macho CPU Cooler

reviews i looked at seemed fairly positive :) think it will be okay fitting with the mobo/ram i have chosen?

one more thing:

do any of these choices of RAM stand out as the best? as they are all identical price wise its a tough call for me

based on looks alone im going to go with the patriot viper, but if theres any reason other than looks ill go for what ever is reccomended :)
