I'm trying to find a reasonably priced, and good quality, sensor bin (opens when you stand near it, or put hand over it).

There seem to be two price ranges £40-£70 (which, according to online reviews, all break after a few months) and > £150.

Has anyone here found a good quality sensor bin in the £40-£70 range? I need a relatively small bin - around 30 litres.

Don't think I've seen any, cheap or expensive that aren't bust in no time at all.

Total over kill for a simple task, if you don't want to touch anything get a swing bin.

You end up standing there like a ****, dripping teabag in hand, while it thinks about opening for you.

I've seen cats decide to go through opened doors quicker.

My parents had the really expensive Brabantia sensor bin and it spent more time broken than working before they replaced it.

Go for a pedal bin, don't have to touch any lids then.

Yeah, pedal bin is plan B, but I don't like the way they skate around the floor. Maybe I'll find some tacky feet for it.

Get a pedal bin.

I have had an expensive Brabantia, and a cheap ebay stainless sensor bin. Both broke in no time at all and were generally over sensitive and rubbish.

We replaced with a £60-70 stainless pedal bin on a whim from B&Q in the end, and its just taken all of the stress about "will the bin work, oh its broken again" out of my life.
