Looking for a new 1080p capable webcam with a decent built-in Mic. Possibly something like a Microsoft LifeCam 1080p (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-013-MS)

I've no experience of it but I've used the LifeCam 720p (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-010-MS) one at work and it seemed OK but fancied one with 1080p compatibility.

Probably worth adding that I'm using windows 8.1 64bit. Worryingly, there seems to be a lot of people complaining about software and drivers for webcams not working on 8.1. You'd think that webcams would be a fairly standard thing by now?

Any recommendations?

Your best bet for quality, would be to separate them out.

Have a look @ the Logitech c930 web cam, then get a tie clip mic.

c930 defo works with 8.1 64bit, I run 4 of them.

Mics:
Olympus ME-15
Audio-Technica ATR-3350
Zalman ZMMIC1

Had all of them and they are all very decent.

The LifeCam Studio isn't bad, but takes a bit of tweaking to get rid of the artificial light and motion lag.

The Logitech C930 looks good but at £100 it's about double what I'd want to spend. Don't really want to go over £50 ideally. I'm not doing anything professional so I'm happy to live with the built in Mic.
