Any recommendations on starting points for a Mac noob?

Any tips / tricks / places to start learning for when my new mac arrives?

I'm experience with *nix, so that'll help... but generally things worth grabbing etc?

Ta, been here before... but didn't stick around long. Had a 15" rMBP when it got released... but I couldn't put up with the lag. Last Mac was a MBP about 5 years ago I got through an insurance payout, kept it a week then sold it to go to the Carribean haha.

Now I just want simplicity and integration at home, so it fits the bill perfectly... love how the idevices link together
