Been wanting to setup a small budget Mini-ITX HTPC/Media Server for a while.

Originally the plan was to build one, Cheap Mini-Itx case, Board and Ram (have plenty of storage),However Mini-ITX boards are just far too expensive for my liking, Especially for anything remotely modern. (10th gen upwards / AM4 based).

So i thought what about something like one of those Intel Nuc nock offs that feature a 10th Gen N100 Quad core etc for under £100, Which should be fine for 1080p vids playing on a 4K TV Right? Using Intel UHD Graphics.
The issue is i need something that can accommodate a NVME (for boot) and a 2.5" Hard drive (For storage)

I don't mind going used at all, Any suggestions?

Something like the Beelink EQ12 should meet your needs - will easily do 4K Playback and they have an NVME and expansion for another drive if I recall.

with an OptiPlex 3060 SFF you also have the option of adding expansion cards as well i.e. better gpu
parts wont be much of an issue either for a while.
it is all dell propriaty parts though including psu.
you also know they will generally stand the test of time as well.

ive an optiplex 7010 & 7020
i use the 7010 for gaming + VR - showing its age more now though
7020 - media abd web in living room,
and the only reason im looking to replace them at the moment is windows 11 support.
