I am currently running with 4 x 8GB Corsair sticks which I've had a few years and run at 3000 CL15-17-17-35. I've read that they can sometimes be pushed to 3200 CL16-18-18-36 but not always with perfect stability.
My current board has daisy chained slots and so a 2 x 16GB kit would be better option, but choice is limited. I have seen some reasonably priced G.Skill which does 3600 CL16-19-19-39 and some less reasonably priced Corsair which does 4000 CL18-22-22-42. Other options I have found tend to have slower timings.
Are there any other kits I should consider, or do I just stick with the old 3000 set I have already got?
