This is a call for help from anyone that knows their Amigas & hardware.

I have a bunch of old disks I just came across that I would like to trawl through, but I no longer own an Amiga.

From what I can remember I'll either need to get a 2nd hand one, or buy a CatWeasel pci controller which should let me read the disks / make adf images that I can use with AmigaForever.

Are these my only 2 options, or is there another that I've missed

Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure how reliable 15-20 year old floppies would be :( especially for multi-disk games.

It's not games that I'm after, although I do have 20+ originals boxed in my loft.

The disks have a lot of Protracker mods that I wrote back in the late 80's / early 90's which I'd like to torture my ears with again :)

I realise some, if not all, of the disks might be unreadable now though :(

PCs can't read Amiga discs, at least not without a special floppy disk drive controller.

Your best bet is a second hand Amiga and transfer via a serial cable, or use the Amiga program DOS2DOS to copy them to a PC format floppy.

I've looked into the CatWeasel v4 pci controller, and it's £90+ atm.

Should be able to get a 2nd hand A1200 for less than that I hope :)
