Any reviews for the Q9450? How good is the overclocking?

You can probably expect to hit 3.6-3.7GHz pretty much regardless of what you use to cool it, on a decent P35/X38/X48 motherboard.

Most places don't have them in stock yet, should get some reviews around and about in a month or so once people have had a chance to play with them

Well intel said Q2 2008 for release so hopefully will be next week. I'm waiting for one now, its the only part i need :-(

Shop I had mine on pre-order said they aint expecting them until Mid April maybe later. I cancelled my order and got a nice Q6600 for £140...will use that for the next few months then get a 9450 when demand and prices have dropped a wee bit.

See if you can find a Xeon X3350 review. They're in the shops in the States already.

Seems if you tape over these two contacts it`ll make your board pick it up as a 3.2GHz 1600FSB processor just like the QX9770.

Only really useful if your board can't be overclocked and it supports 1600mhz chips out of the box.

Is the above even true ?

If so Ocuk should definatly be providing new bundles and Kits cos that would be the biggest seller on Ocuk EVER !

I wonder if u have to increase any volts or overclock ?

All it does is tell the motherboard to boot at 400MHz instead of 333MHz. You can of course manually set the motherboard to 400MHz regardless.
