What's the difference between the £9 classic and the £30 pro?

Looking at getting on of these for my mum for Xmas! Before I run off to Asia travelling!

How are they rated!? Seems to have good feedback

I've got the blue one. It's good at rejuvenating blunt knives, but it cuts quite a rough edge on the blade. I still use a steel to clean up the edge after using the Anysharp.

Not a lot; both will knacker your knives eventually.

The Pro comes with a whole host of absolutely useless accessories which aren't worth the extra money. If you want to get one of these things, go for the blue model.

If you can't learn the skill/get on with/use traditional whetstones, this is a lazy, easy, non-skillful alternative (but it does need effort)

Lansky

This system can get blades fairly sharp. I have, in the past, sharpened a 9" chef's knife and an 8" carving knife (amongst many others) using the Lanskey system :)

It's relatively cheap too - don't get the diamond version though - it's too aggressive.
