...is there anywhere I can get free web design templates from?

They used to do 1 free theme a week i'm not 100% if they still do but worth a try even if you just sign in once a week to get it you will soon start building up a collection. Most of the time it's a good theme too.

Does your host not provide a few? I have noticed that many hosts are now offering free templates to tempt you in.
