Without splitting it into pieces? Youtube only allows 15mins which is daft

Google video used to allow videos over 1hr, but they no longer allow uploading of videos.

The longer video times for youtube are only given to members that are registered for advertising (for which you have to have a bit of popularity before signing up), forgotten what the hell they call it now but yeah...

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I completely forgot about vimeo. They have a 500mb size limit, so i just need to convert it with AGK and upload it there.

It's an old 8mm camcorder video an old friend took about 6 years ago of him and his mrs camping and general messing about. He's never seen it.

the two i mentioned have a much higher than 500mb limit, (lots on there are 700 +)

I don't think that's correct, the longer videos are by "sponsored" users.
And before a certain date you could sign up as a director and this allows you to. I've seen a video which is just under 2 hours before,

Also there is megavideo

upload it in full quality to somewhere like dropbox and let him download it

or even easier just post him it on a dvd ! seems like hassle to upload when its a personal video that doesnt need the advantage that video hosting sites give
