Any stargazers in here?

My better half bought me a telescope because i like looking at the stars. Now i get to see them bigger. Just wondering what advice / websites / forums anyone can give me as i am a complete and utter noob at this. I am a bit of a nerd, but hey, everyone who works with pcs usually is to some extent .

So, anyone point me in the right direction?

You got my point though . . .

Tufty Fella - Its a Celestron Nexstar 80SLT which automatically aligns for noobs like me . Apparently she did quite a bit of research into it. Id like to look for planets etc, some of which are visible to the naked eye.
And im at the stargazers lounge now. Quite a good site. Now i know what end of the telescope to look through . . . .
Just got to wait for a clear night to play with it.
