Any Starry Night users?

having recently been awed by the recent passing of the ISS, I have been really interested in www.heavensabove.com and recently aquired StarryNight software which is simply awesome. Now I have itchy feet for a telescope which connects the the PC etc etc for taking digital imagery.

Anyone have a motorised PC controlled telescope with StarryNight suggest a setup under £1k?

no motorised setup here, but ive got starrynight digital download edition and think its great software. Stellarium is excellent too, open source and free.

You can get GOTO scopes from as little as £300, no need for a PC. You just align them by pointing the scope at a couple of stars and from there they are the reference for the scope and it can move to the object of your choice.

Is a canny place to ask for advice. Loads of people do astrophotography in there.
