Any students learning/learnt Scheme?

Unfortunately ive not done any programming in a while now, and most of that was OO (java etc). A friend of mine is starting on Scheme instead now and is having troubles with conversions.

So i was wondering if anyone knows of somewhere to find an example of converting a number in to a text string, its the classic "123" in to "One hundred and twenty three". With this i can nudge them in the right direction instead of getting lost here n there.

Scheme seems pretty logical for the most part, but theres key elements im missing

Got this same thing for an assessment, I know what I want to do just getting scheme to do the same is the problem. At the moment getting an EOF problem. Just need to check all my brackets, but I'm too tired now so I'll do it tomorrow.
