Any sutch thing as a bluetooth extender?

No

You basically pair the devices above so it is a link between both, you can still control play/pause/vol on some from controls on the above devices.

What you are asking for does not exist, be great if it did.

Why did you go for BT 4.2 today?

The first one I linked to is good and recently updated to 5.0 (going by the older BT4.1 version) and you can get similar cheaper products from the likes of BlitzWolf etc.

You wasted £24 on poop and could have got it for £10 more (return it as not fit for purpose)

This 1 I have bought is 50meters range and it doesn't auto power off, so you can plug it in and forget about it... It would be spot on perfect, but it wont do much passed the standard 8-10meter range, I dont get it?

Look at feedback in detail, it has only 13 reviews so 4 stars looks good till you see 27% are 2 and 3 star and one actually said "not fit for purpose"

Again I would look at ones in my links.

BT 4.2 was actually good over 4.0 or 4.1 but not many devices used it (BT 5.0 did not really add much not even range as some devices claim).

BT can be effected by other 2.4GHZ in home like DECT landline/WIFI, your microwave oven when it is in use.

To get those claimed distances the device need to be Class 1 not Class 2 (I would take with a pinch of salt unless they specifically stated which class it is in descriptions/specs).

Boltune are not the best and I had a pair of an older model but they were Class 1 so the best distance I ever had from a cheapo set or expensive set of buds but at least you have aptX on this model.

Lag only normally shows up in movies as lip sync issues (would not be so much an issue in listening to music) if you are too far away it gets worse and more soon higher quality codecs land the fix is to have both a Transmitter and ear/headphone that have aptX-LL or newer aptX-Adaptive.

AFAIR even normal aptX will have lower latency than SBC and AAC and esp high quality LDAC.

I bought cheap earbuds as I dont really like earphones/headphones and I wasnt going to use them much... But I haven't ever had earbuds before and wowzers they are awesome, the sound is so crisp and clear with plenty of bass and Im using them all the time. Shame the battery life is only 3-4 hrs though.

There's a lag with the receiver also but its not as noticeable as my usb bluetooth dongle and thats bt 5.0 but without aptX

You already bought twice so do it right, buy the older Black PLUS (aptx-HD) of above version if you really want to get it cheaper or ideally the newer White Oasis (BT5.0) or Black Oasis PLUS (aptX-HD+BT5.0 version).

Sorry but having to spend £50+ on a bluetooth transmitter to be get a decent range is stupid, when you can pick up a normal bluetooth 5.0 dongle for £5-6. The black version of the Avantree is £54 and the range is still only 50meters.

You get what you pay for esp aptX more so LL or HD, advise you read customers reviews of the cheap ones.

Has you wife thrown you out and you sleeping the the shed down the bottom of garden?

That is 164feet with only one device being Class 1, you add a pair of Class 1 ear/headphone you can potentially double it

Long Range Bluetooth Transmitter & Receiver | Avantree TC419 < no aptX-HD and it can transmit 200feet in TX mode (not RX mode).

"Extended range
Experience the wireless freedom to walk anywhere in the house! Proven range of 295ft in testing with headphones (audition Pro), and 328ft using TC419 as a Transmitter, RC500 as a receiver Pair in open air line-of-sight conditions. Note that operating range can be affected by multiple factors"

Here £35: (try it for 60days and return if no good).

Ok, try again, and if this fails I give up.....https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YXNMZ8K/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item Ordered a slightly better one aswel, than your link you gave me.

I have a long house about 20meters or so and the problem the transmitter is at 1 end of the house and it has to get though a few walls to reach the sitting room thats right at the other side of the house, where I would like it to transmit to

That is nice they have one called the B03Pro+ with BT 5.0 and built in Saber DAC @ 32/384 (Gold sticker on it).

Are you even sure that this B03 model is BT5.0 (the B03Pro is) if not I have no clue why your are not listening to advise.

I will chime in later as I had to replace my dongle, I had 2 real choices as I do not need the likes of above as size or distance wise, all I want is aptX-HD from PC as I already have an Intel AX200 WIFI6/BT5.1 in my PC but Windows limited to aptX so better than SBC before Win 10 updated a while back.

I went for one with an LCD screen as its easier to pair/swap between devices from onscreen menu and I can see what codec is in use (some do it via a LED that changes colour and you need to learn what is what).

This is only a 20m range as no rubber antenna and small case, it connects via RCA/3.5mm or Optical Toslink (my choice for this) where as my USB dongle was seen as a Soundcard by PC, still both will be 24/96 max which is fine for all Codecs even LDAC which none do so far.

Well I have the device and its a fraction better by 1-2meters, it doesn't say what version of bt it is anywhere for some reason, but it has a"LL+HD"switch? That other 5.0 one was about £20 more and Im guess that wont give me a better range would it? If it will, I'll give that one ago as its £44 now..

BT 5.0 should but it is more to do with the power (mw) that is used to save battery in ear/headphones, as you now nearly all BT version lists at least 10m but this was never official it was simply the distance they could get on low power power.

BT 3.0 EDR and BT 4.2 did bring a jump/improvement but BT 5.0 did make some claims also but the big deal is BT 5.2 (5.1 not so much) esp for proper audio support for first time ever with LE/LC3 Audio (to be added later via updaed) will be able to get rid of that Walkie Talkie Setting in your mic quality of your BT headphones in Windows.

The higher quality the codec the less distance, so SBC is going to get further and use less battery and LDAC will be worse on both.

I have two sets of BT 5.2/AptX-Adaptive earphones on order and an Intel BT 5.2/WIFI 6E AX210 card also.

Thanks for the message JohnG7 about the bluetooth 5.0 version, but I just was too late as I was going to return the thransmitter that I have now and buy the 5.0 version for the same price, but its gone up to £60 now, dammit.... I have bought a 20meter cable so I can position the transmitter into the middle of the house a bit better. But its still not great, but it works fantastically when Im outside...

I have noticed my earbuds dosent use the LL APTX mode for some reason, it just uses APTX so theres quite a bit of lag when watching videos. I also have some headphones that uses SBC, and the range for those are terrible, 5-10 meters if your lucky, but theres no lag at all with them.
