Hi All ,I was looking on the net and saw a good review about this board ,can anyone give any thoughts about it ? its performance, reliable etc
Asus Commando Intel 965p (Socket 775)

i thought i was bad with mobo's lol :p reviews show it to be a good board but as to if its better than say a ds3 or p5b deluxe for instance probably not.the r.o.g boards are good but come with some gimmicky items such as a key ring etc which bump up the price and really arent needed.
imo the best boards at the mo are in no real order

680i
650i
p5b deluxe
bad axe
ds3

these are all known quantitys but with the 680i/650i sometimes its a gamble.my ecs 680i has had only one issue to speak of and that was not updating the bios with anything than a boot disc.
with any of these you will have a good board but as mentioned at the mo the nvidia are a bit...well touch and go,and are included just for the overclocking features alone.i have the p5b deluxe wi fi in one pc and 680i in the other and personally i like the 680i but get on better with the p5b,go figure!! :)

I just chose a P5B over the Commando, don't regret it one bit.

Go for the 650i though, very cheap.

Out of those I would go for either the 650i or the P5B, purely depending on budget and chipset preference.

I bought a 680i but had a horrible experience with it, decided to go back to P965 instead of a 650i. The 680i board I got was probably a one-off faulty board though, there's nothing really wrong with the 650i or 680i chipsets.

Well, they do run bloody hot, but that's about it. :p
