Im in desperate need of a nice shiney tft before i go off to uni and my mums offered to buy me one for my bday, so ive been looking at a 19" which will be used for gaming,movies,office work,web browsing and prob tv watching when i go to uni so pretty much everything. Is this the best 19" avalible for under the £250 mark?
Any thoughts on the Viewsonic VP920 19"

All these 19" TN Film TFT are pretty similar really. The VP920 doesn't have a particularly good contrast ratio either. Hyundai ImageQuest B91D is cheaper and has better specs.
If you could go up to about £270 you could get a MVA panel TFT like the VP930, which has better viewing angles and would be more suited to being an all rounder. The limited viewing angles on TN Film panel TFTs is definitely a problem IMO if you're going to use them as a TV.
