An internet friend of mine ( and American so can't get to her PC directly ) used a site to check compatability of her PC with a game she wants to play.

The following is the result...

the processor speed seems odd to me but I don't know intel well at all so hoping you guys can shed some light on it. To me it seems her PC is underclocked.
 
Thanks everyone, she had a look in the BIOS and it was set manually to 100FSB.. instead of manual she had 2400 as an option so set that and funnily enough it works and apparantly she does notice the performance increase especially in her current favourite game - oblivion.
