General wp , internet etc. Playing movies and also some faily basic games playing Sim2, zoo tycoon etc.

Same spec (C2D T8300, 3GB ram, 8600M GT 256mb) as my vostro 1500 (except I'm on XP) and mine runs stuff like Sim 2 very well. It can even run stuff like Oblivion, Quake 4, SupCom well.

Hi csmith,

I do not think there is a big deal of difference between both. I have actually bought it. It is not clear how long it will take for delivery but I am not in a hurry.

I have read rather positive reviews on this machine and these were based on older processors.
