2x dvd drives, floppy, Audigy EX soundcard
I know the power supply for defo but how likely could something go in the machine to cause these problems. Most of the kit isn't that old only just over a year so I am very confused. I use a Belkin UPS at home and the fault light lit up this morning about 6:45 waking me up. It has done its job of switching everything off taking the fuse on the plug with it. Anyway I looked about couldn't see anything wrong so tried to power up again this time the usual power supply bang. I have plugged in a spare low powered compaq psu (laughable 200w, only on the motherboard to see if ok) boots ok but doesnt respond when trying BIOS. Perhaps the psu being too weak or jumpers needing resetting. But what likely could be gone. The only thing I can think of is perhaps the 6800 as this is the oldist thing in the system but I do get a screen when powering up. I am posting the PSU back as Overclockers as always very helpful. Happy to fax my original Invoice and contacted Enermax who will get a replacement to my in 3-4 days.
Im just really worried something else is causing it, any tips on avoiding this?
The fuse went on the UPS plug but this does function fine on another pc when replaced the fuse so it wasnt this.
Any useful advice comments would be most welcome.
