hiya, thanks to the forums replies for helping my choose these; Graphics Card and PSU (I know the gfx card is voltage locked).

I've been looking at Youtube videos but I wan't to ask if anyone has any tips for a first-timer replacing his PSU and Graphics Card? This is my current PC if it helps.

Also if there are any easy mistakes I should know about, thanks!

Connect the 2 x 6+2-pin PCI-E power leads just split off the two pin bit.

edit, you also have 2 x 4+4-pin CPU, just use any one 4pin.

After removing your old bits, fit the PSU first making sure you fit the 4/8pin and the 24pin ATX power connectors to your motherboard. Then fit the card..

When firing up the first time, do a quick visual check that all your fans are spinning etc. You won't do any damage if you forget something.. The system or that component just won't function. The system will soon tell you if you have a problem or you haven't connected something you should have.

i think people worry to much about this kind of thing, all plugs/sockets are unique for their purpose so you dont need to worry and getting anything wrong. don't stress and take your time :)

It basically goes, if there's an empty plug socket, and a spare plug then they should be connected. Taught my girlfriend how to build a PC (putting it together, not spec'ing one) on the basis that if it fits, then that's where it goes. If it doesn't turned on then you haven't plugged everything in :)
