My dad was just asking me about this as his workstation pc in his office is quite loud at times, especially if the room is hot (its on the top floor and has a couple of velux windows, so it can get quite hot) and the fans are going at full speed.
He's managed to salvage a couple of fans from another old machine to install into the case to try and increase the air flow, which might keep the fan speeds down.
Only thing we could think on was a bit of foam tape round the fan to both seal the edges and dampen the vibrations abit ?
Also would there be any point in putting a bit of old net curtain, the really fine mesh stuff, over the fans to stop dust getting in?
Thanks
