Hi

I have a small tree that I need help identifying, had it years but never actually known what the name of it is.

Very small leaves and it has a bonsai tree shape to it, it also grows needles on its branches at certain times of the year.

Here is a few pictures.

A green fingered friend says it's probably a Robinia

It does indeed have similarities, although It does not produce any flower like images of a Robinia suggest, perhaps a different variety. Thank's.

*Honey Locust looks quite similar

* I believe I have found as you said above it looks like its a Robinia "Frisia".

The facts seem to match, early leave drop and dead branches.

It's been called a Mexican Bean tree for the last 10 years:D

Thanks for all the help everyone:)
