Do you know of Any trust worth sell your phone/tech company ?

I'm thinking of selling my phone but wanted to check if any of the companies are any good.

Who would you trust who would you avoid ?

or better off selling it yourself ?

I’ve used mazuma a couple of times with no issue. Maybe see what they offer you?
Thats the first thing that came to mind, they offer a good amount but from the reviews they seam to run a scam of quoting a high amount and when received offering silly money. (quote 400 offer 100) or not returning the item.

Ive never used them so just going by the reviews.

Was that the case for you ?

Go with your gut. I haven’t used them in a while tbh..(gave my last couple of phones to family members) but the times I have used them, I had no trouble.

Last phone went to mazuma, i got an email the next day after sending confirming receipt, later on the same day another email to notify of test/inspect, same day that all was good. Payment was received the next day or day after.

I sold my previous phone on FB Market place for 30 over mazuma quote, however I had to deal with people constantly trying to buy it for 50 less than the mazuma quote. Although you can get more it was more work.

Point to note, my phones always look like the day they came out of the box as I look after them very very well. Case, Screen prot from second 1 after unbox.

Recently had good experience with Meelie (phone looked brand new) and Musicmagpie, with latter phone had few small noticeable marks but still paid out full price.

Handtec on the other hand played the highest offer hand and then lowballed me. Simply asked for it back without arguing and then magically another assessment happened and offer got higher. By that point all recyclers were offering that amount anyway so accepted.

Looking at Truspilot they have a high score but most of negative reviews are because of similar selling experiences.

Ive never used any but mazuma was the main one ive heard of but the reviews had been putting me off, Hagle and time was the main reason I was looking at the recycle sites but dont want to be put in a place where they low bowl me and im still having to wait ages for the money or phone back

I've never come across Meelie or Handtec but will take a look, im will take a look at Truspilot

I've used a few recycling sites over the years and never had any issues or revised quotes once I've sent them the phone. Possibly just gotten lucky.

Never used CEX myself but imagine upside is that they can give you an assessment there and then in your local branch.

For my Note 4, Music Magpie gave me the best quote and they honoured it no probs.

For my S8+ however, Magpie marked down their quote by nearly 50% so I asked for it back. It then went to CEX, who quoted slightly less but they honoured it as grade A.

For the S20 Ultra, Magpie are quoting £170 (!) and CEX is slightly better at £236. The going rate on eBay is £300. I'm not sure if I'll sell it yet though as it's been a superb phone for me and is the longest that I've had a phone since my first phone back in year 2000. I'll wait for the S23 launch and see how that fares with the Sammy fanbase :)

I used Music Magpie 2 years ago to sell 2 Iphone 8's (my wifes and my own) and they were really good, not issues, paid really quickly.

We have new contracts again recently with new Iphone 13's, so wanted to sell our Iphone 11's, Mazuma seemed to be higher than most and i'd at least heard of them so sent them there, paying £190 per phone. Anyway got an email back yesterday saying there were at least 3 scratches on each phone and that one phone had dark spots on the camera, so they revised their offer to £60 and £120 for the phones.

The phones worked perfectly, had no scratches at all as both had good cases and screen protectors. I even took photos just in case of each side of each phone. Looking at reviews on trustpilot it looks like they're telling everyone the same thing and trying their luck. I've rejected their revised offers and hoped to use Music Magpie again.

Are they all just crooks now, or is it total luck of the draw?

Update: Had another offer of £290, still £90 less than I should have got so rejected and hoping to get the phones back soon. Liking the sound of envirofone with much better reviews on trustpilot
