Just a little edgy to know exactly whats happing on the 23rd if ocuk will get any in at all as i want to preorder ASAP :/

i have been hearing reports of ati pushing the launch back to 23rd lol but i dont know exactly how meny ocuk will get in on the 23rd i also what ocuk to unlock the x1950 section of there site so i can see exactly what versions are coming out or even see the coolers they will be useing lol

im also guessing the NDA will be lifted on 23rd to so we can all see benches...

Gibbo's already stated in other threads that ocuk will be getting stock in between 23rd Aug and 14th Sept and will be priced around £275-£300 + VAT.
Looks like you'll just have to wait for more info on when they'll start becoming available.

I hope he unlocks the X1950 section on the shop soon..... im hopeing i can get one just after the 23rd but i guess that wont happen as gibbo isnt replying with his exclusive info hehehe

Thats right, but what we don't know is, is he going to be selling them when they start arriving, or seen as the release date is actually the 14th Sept, then are they just going to be arriving after the 23rd so they can build up stocks ready for a hard launch on the 14th, as if ATi have said the 14th, then it doesnt matter if stocks arrive tomorrow does it, as tomorrow is not the 14th Sept, it needs clarifying, and id star out the sweary ViRuS2k.

Im guessing that they aint allowed to be sold until the 14th September though, as thats what ATi said the release date was.

I saw some leaked benchamarks on the web yesterday comparing 1950 XTX in Crossfire and 2 nVidia 7950's in quad SLI.

The 1950 XTX setup wiped the floor with the 7950s in all benchmarks except F.E.A.R., which demonstrated a sizeable performance increase for the nVidia cards.

Of course, as one person noted, the games were not being run with obscene amounts of AA and AF at 1600x1200 and beyond, which is something that quad SLI is built for, so nVidia may have a performance lead under those circumstances.

Either way, it has certainly piqued my interest in these cards and looking forward to seeing how much they cost
