It seems most people using places like Rapidshare are now doing links through urlcash which means with the rapidshare downloader (for account holders) I have to get to hidden url for rapidshare for each item before I can use them to automatically download.

Is there any tool or program that will get the undelying rapidshare link if given the urlcash link, preferabily able to take blocks of urls. At the simplist, follow the link and then grab the underlying link and save it to a file etc whilst moving to the next link. I am not oposed to them getting the clicks but it is very tedious having to manually grab each link one by one. Just downloading via the urlcash website takes away the advantages of having a rapidshare account.

I don't know of any sites using urlcache. All the RS sites I've seen in the past year or so have been plain old lists of links. What's an example of one that behaves like you describe so that I might test against it?

Hi Billy,

An example would be http://u-3repej62n.urlcash.net

On clicking, you go to urlcash which shows some adverts and holds you there until they all load and then another 10 or so seconds before redirecting to the file.

Linux rapidshare grabber is meant to be able to deal with urlcash links but it has never worked for me. The file just sits there in the grabber and the retry count just goes up.

If in doubt, do it yourself ;).

Not so hard to do with shell script and wget.:D

I now have a script that take urlcash and linkbucks links and produces output files containing links for a number of file upload sites like rapidshare.

Works so far for most but have to fine tune for old urlcash pages as it seems they changed their format at some point.

If there is any interest then I may make it available.

I have no idea how it affects clicks for these sites but I know it is seriously fast compared to having to load the pages in firefox.
