Hi,

Just did the training course last week and looking to do the exam this Friday.

Any advice, recommendations, etc? How did you find the exam?

Thanks,

M.

Yes I did the Fast Track 3.5 course (5 full days which is unusual for a course).

I'll check all the documentation one of the guys had passed the exam then came on the course and recommended the 'limits' document (basically all of the stuff it supports such as amount of LUN's, etc.) so I'll go with that (as it's been seconded now!)

I'll have a look at the link now - I've done a fair bit of study but it'll be interesting to see if my studying areas are the same as the exams!

Thanks!

Did the Fast Track with a company in Birmingham called ETC. The training was really good in all fairness and I did learn a hell of a lot (mainly towards the HA side of things).

Didn't realise there were questions in there about Fusion (eek!) so I guess I'll have to have a look at that - the only things I'm getting slightly confused on in the test exams is the massive multiple choice ones where they have several yes's but don't mention how many ticks they want! Arrrgh!

In the course they did talk about AAM and how they had bought it so that was covered. They also went into the VMWare consolidation side and basically mentioned the down sides (i.e. it's not as good as the products people use who come out and monitor your networks and then make recommendations).

Well I think the exam I am about to take will be either a very low pass or a monumental fail dependant upon the questions I get! Oh well fingers crossed and all that.

Just a quick update and question.

I took the exam today and passed. It wasn't easy to be honest with some questions about other none-vmware products which through me a little but anyway job done.

And now for the question. Is there somewhere you enroll on the VMWare site (like you do for MCP's) where you can get the logos and such like?

Cheers,

M.

Ah thanks for that. The testing centre (well house with a computer in it) was very vague on what happens next.

Thanks again mate.

Thanks very much mate!

Looks like you do a lot of VMWare yourself with those qualifications! I'd look to do the next certificate (VCDX) but the presentation thing is worrying to say the least - you can at least blag it a little in an exam!

Good to see that we have a lot of qualified people around here should we need help!
