I have this board GByte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3

I have a 7850 in slot 1

I have just bought a used Asus ST sound card, which is PC slot and not express. Is there any way round it? maybe run my graphics card in the last slot and my sound card in the PCI slot?

Please advise

:)

Im assuming that you mean PCI-E x1 slot, as that board doesnt have a PCI slot.

In which case, you can put it in any of the slots on that board - preferably the lower for increased airflow.

Unless I'm going blind there isn't a PCI slot to plug it into there.

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x8 (PCIEX8)
* The PCIEX8 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX16 slot. When the PCIEX8 slot is populated, the PCIEX16 slot will operate at up to x8 mode.
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
1 x PCI Express x1 slot
(All PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)

There are PCIe to PCI adapter cards but unless you want to splash £30ish on one of these I'd recommend returning the card and get the PCIe version.
It obviously adds a bit to the cards width/depth too so you'd need to make sure you case can accommodate.
