Hi

Is anyone aware of a way to check the mains water pressure supplied to another area of the country, such as through a website?

I know how to check the pressure of a specific property (i.e. if you have access to it) and the water company websites only say where there's a fault affecting pressure, but not 'we expect to supply 3 bar to 123 John Street' as far as I can tell.

Thanks.

Ok so there's no indication of water pressure by general area, that you're aware of?

I've had to check this type of thing through my work but that's on behalf of a client and through Scottish Water but I'd assume the same sort of thing could be done down in your area. However, most results are for the area taken to the nearest main but they would underplay the maximum pressure to 1bar (the minimum to run anything in a house). If they'd do that for a random checking on a different area I'm not sure they'd divulge that information?

Can find pressure is variable too - during the summer if the farmers are watering fields can barely get a shower .
we had board come round and measure, apparently our minimum is 10L/m @10mH(1bar) , but, during visit had 40L/m @10mH(1bar) - static pressure 22mH 2.2bar
(assumed it is metresHead )

must be some published minimum you can enquire about.
