Any way to find out when fibre connection will be available

I've been keeping an eye on this website for a while to check when fibre will be available in my area http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/ and every time I checked it was always on 'Exploring Solutions' but recently the status changed to 'Under Review'

Is their a way to get more in depth information regarding this? As to when it might happen etc or is it just down to BT openreach

Short answer, Nope. I was waiting in this stage for a couple of years! You will get some information on if they decide to start planning an installation, and then again when they actually start installing, but that's the lot...

There are contact details on that website, you can email them. The answer is pretty vague though, I've been told 'next year'.

Yeah its the same for Virgin as well. One of my friends checked their postcode and it said "coming soon" or something like that so he rang them, and they cant give anymore information.

For virgin though, if it switches status to something like what you saw with openreach, it means that people are asking, but it isn't necessarily high demand yet

There a big green cabinet installed 200 - 300 yards away and mine has been under review for a few years now. It has been all wired up.
