Failing that a V888 form & £5 to the DVLA works, I got copies of all the documents for my Capri going back to when it was brand new in 1983.

I phone BMW and they listed everything that had been done and where for the first 3 years.

Documents for what? I don't think DVLA would have documents for service history.

I know. The original V5 has the details of the original seller though.

ah ok. what sort of documents do DVLA send you? Considering doing it for mine.

A photocopy of every V5 from new, change of address, owner etc.

Bizzare, Honda and BMW were both happy to and able to tell me everything about the car ( done by them obviously) including original dealer etc
