It's a brand new monitor, but it has a pixel near the middle stuck on green. It's really annoying. Is there any way to unstick it? Or at least get it stuck on a less obtrusive colour?

If the pixel is stuck, it is not dead. One of the phases is locked on.

I have this on my screen - there's a green pixel near the top left. Tried a variety of methods and nothing worked, so just live with it now.

I've also had little luck fixing these. Especially on a decent panel. nothing seemed to work.
How ever I cured a bright red pixel on a cheapo 17" tn panel by pressing an empty ball point pen on the red pixel ( quite but not too hard ). it just went away after that.

But you should check the manufactures dead/bright pixel policy . if its a dell premium panel then just send it back.

Ive a cyan one stuck and have done for 2 years. Tried everything to fix. As said, live with it now!
