I always have the bookmarks panel open on the left of my screen in firefox as i actually find it preferable to have a slightly smaller view of forums particularly. That and i use my bookmarks a lot.
I've installed Chrome and like it a lot but not being able to have my bookmarks on the left is messing with my head. I'm so used it that anything else just seems odd. I've cropped the screenshot below to keep the image size small but you get the idea.
