Wondering if this is possible at all?.
I have a Dell M1530 XPS with inbuilt wifi. Is there any way to increase the range of it?.
There's a McDonalds acroos the road from us at work and if I sit at the front of our building I can hook into the free "Cloud" wifi there.
However, If I'm at the back of the building it sometimes shows up in my networks available and sometimes doesnt. Likewise the connection sometimes works and sometimes not.
If I cannot increase the range of the lappys inbuilt wifi adapter is there anything I can use to amplify the signal coming in from the Cloud?. I thought I read somewhere about some sort of "plug" that goes into a mains socket in a room and amplifies wifi signals?.
Or did I just make that up?.
