I've been on the insider previews for some time, and as time has gone on recently, I discovered the betas coming out had issues with more and more stuff, so I'd like to try and get back onto the most recent stable build, unfortunately I'm outside of the 10 days.
I've been taking a look, but most places seem to indicate, tough, reinstall, but I just wondered if there is any way to revert/reinstall the core OS, without having to reinstall and restore everything else; an over the top core reinstall that at least keeps your user data etc.
If you can upgrade to a later version of windows, with your programmes and user data intact, it seems wierd there's no way to do an inplace 'upgrade' to an older version!
Sort of seems like the sort of thing someone would have worked out how to do?
I'm just trying to get away from having to back up, reorganise everything on my main drives, because A) It'll take some time and B) It's so easy to miss something! I don't mind redownloading stuff, I have very very fast internet, it's just way too easy to lose game saves, custom configs etc.
