Any way to revert windows 10 back to 8.1?

I'm currently on windows 10 but after loads of games becoming broken I'm wanting to downgrade the only guide I've seen is you can only do it within a month of upgrading Ive had it since release so that's a no no for me.

Hi, if your games have become corrupted far better do a fresh install.

No it's more of compatability eg secure rom being broke by 10 games not working under 10 (football manager) random ui and system bugs I could go on forever I don't really care about dx12 at the time as we always get shoddy console ports

Well just checked you'll have to do a fresh install as after 30 days, "Windows.old" is deleted automaticlly.

Check this though. I recently reverted to 7 on my netbook and I think it had been over 30 days. Was pretty painless.

Yeah I read about windows removing the option after 30 days I also seen that you can install 8 after 10 if you fresh install and use the upgrade key

Without the windows.old directory you would lose essential drivers needed by the previous os. Technically it's still possible but would be a lot of faffing around and tbh think you would still fare better with a fresh install anyways.

On another note. Windows 10 is a really solid system with great compatibility, shame to hear you not getting on with it. Maybe a fresh install of 10 might solve those problems also?

Im planning on fresh installing windows 10 if still no joy then ill dual boot. as I said to my mate I love windows 10 over all of them BUT i cant live with its incompatabiltys and not being able to do tasks like hibinate properly or random restarts or shutdowns without getting a program is stopping me from shutdowns
