Any way to stop gta5 ridiculous size updates

Thought i'd have a quick go today to be greeted with another 5.3Gb update, i dopn't play online and only interested in single player, is there anyway to stop these updates as the size is getting pretty ridiculous at 77GB

i'm not playing the steam version it's the rockstar full retail version
