Hi on my receiver hdmi out 2 is not working, tried moving the cable from 1-2 and the same reult, so just wondering before i try and get it out of the av unit for a look if there was anything else i could do, have tried a full factory reset but nothing ?
Thanks

where you have an hdmi socket that has been plugged/unplugged regularly, you can get dirt , and even if that's not the case,
I'd try a spray of switch cleaner/servisol or alcohol in the socket.

Thanks will give it a try, this port has never been used, wonder if isopropyl sprayed in would help

You can get HDMI cable testers with a bit of google-fu, they typically run to about £35ish for a decent one :) Sorry, just realised you want to test the port, my bad

You'd be better off with a switch cleaner spray, alcohol is good for removing grease, not so much at dispersing dirt/grit

It’s a Yamaha RXA-3050 receiver and tried output 2 with a projector, my old Panasonic cx802 and the new Panasonic gz950 with different hdmi leads and also the lead that is working. Only thing I haven’t tried is the receiver out of the atv unit as it’s all connected from the rear of the unit with no access
