Any way to wirelessly send sound to a conventional stereo amp?

I've connected my tablet to my amp with a 3.5mm to phono cable but is there any adapter or device that will allow me to get the sound to the amp wirelessly? I know there are speaker docks that can connect via bluetooth or wifi but I'm looking for something to use with my existing equipment.

Thanks. I should have mentioned that the tablet is running android (HP Touchpad). Looks like a nice idea though!

Thanks. I did similar searches a little while back but I couldn't find anything suitable. Any experience with bluetooth/dlna receivers?

Hit Google with
FM Sound Transmitter

Thanks. The amp is a conventional amp, not a receiver. Also FM is quite limited in quality if I'm not mistaken. I really want something that sounds as close to the sound I'm getting at the moment when connected with a cable.

Thanks. Will look into that. Also just found a Logitech Bluetooth speaker adapter. Might give that a go. Wifi would be a nicer option now that you've reminded me of the limitation of Bluetooth range!

I've got the Logitech adapter and also a cheaper 'Sandstrom' one from the purple shirt place (£17.99). The only real difference is that the Logitech has a pairing button (which can be annoying if you are always swapping devices as I do) and phono connectors as well as 3.5mm jack. I use one of the Sandstrom ones in my car plugged into the aux in.

There is a useful app called A2DP manager or something which allows you to connect to your audio device based on various things. For example when I get in the car and my phone automatically connects to the normal bluetooth receiver the app then connects to the A2DP one as well.

Thanks. At the moment it's only my tablet that I want connected so the connect button won't be much of a hindrance. What do you think of the sound quality when connected via the Logitech?

Got the Logitech adapter today and have had a chance to play around with it.
Firstly it takes longer to remove the packaging than it does to plug it in and pair it with the tablet! To staty with, I had a listen to radio through Tunein Pro and tested the range which is very respectable. I had to go downstairs to the other side of the house before the sound was affected. Quality of speech is no different to my ears than connecting to the amp with a cable.

Streaming video from TVCatchup and youtube worked perfectly but I ran into problems when trying to play video files, both locally and streaming from my PC. Audio was completely out of sync with the video. Spent an age googling to find that other people were frustrated with this so I looked a setting in my Android media players that would allow me to shift the audio. Luckily BS Player Free has this function and shifting the audio forward by 0.500s means it's now in sync with the video. It's also nice that you can save that setting withing BS Player. Tested it with different video formats (all were previously affected) and now they all play well and without sync issues. I read that this is a generic ICS bug (I'm running a nightly CM9 build) so it may be fixed in a future ROM.

Sound quality playing music is overall very good but there is definitely something strange happening at the top end; probably due to compression. I'm being picky though as I didn't expect the sound quality to be as good as it is and shouldn't really expect the same quality as cabled.

Overall, I'm very happy with the £23 spent on it! :)
