Any word on a 5890?

As title. I read a while ago that ATI were possibly working on a 5890 to coincide with Fermi's launch. A quick Google didn't turn up anything concrete, so was just wondering if anyone here had heard anything??

Nope. There are however overclocked 3rd party 5870 cards coming out.

Same goes for the 5970.

Read a post about fermi being delayed another week, and someone mentioned that would put it in the firing line of ati's refresh.

Can't remember where I read this(may of been xtremesystems)

So I believe its early april.

I read a while ago that ATI were possibly working on a 5890 to coincide with Fermi's launch.

I believe that the new catalyst driver notes refer to a 5980 so it's a pretty safe bet we'll see one shortly.

Ati's response to GTX 480 is the 2GB 5870 "Eyefinity6" that has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust since last summer:

Hmz I think mass production has been limited by being able to get mass produced GDDR5 ram chips for 2GB.
