Any worthy upgrades from a 4690k at the moment?

Primary usage is 4K gaming. Rest of system is currently GTX 970 4K monitor and SSD. 8GB RAM.

CPU is running at 4GHz permanently. GPU will be upgraded to something, tbc once 2070Ti is understood.

Just wondering if there are any worthy CPU upgrades at the moment?

Looks like 4790ks are running around £200 second hand :/.

That's very high price for such old CPU with only four cores.
IMO you should wait for release of Zen2/Ryzen 3xxx
Or if motherboard supports them look if you could find some of 4,1GHz boosting Xeon, like E3-1281 v3, at good price.

Just been reading up on Zen2. Will sweat the 4690k for a while longer, thanks all. Sounds like 2019 could be AMD's year for both CPUs and GPUs!
