Anybody a firefighter?

Hey

Just wondered if anybody here was in the fire service, or know of anybody who is in it and can tell me as much as you want about it?
What requirements are there, whats the training like,hours/wage etc...What you do on an average day

sounds good, what did the recruitment consist of? exams/training etc
